First 2014 Entry Announced!
Jensen Motorsport To Move To GT3

There has been a whole raft of positive news concerning the 2013 British GT Championship recently, and we expect to see a series of further announcements at Autosport International in Birmingham tomorrow and Friday; but, following the signing of a long-term sponsorship agreement, Jensen Motorsport has become the first team to announce an entry into the championship for 2014.

Team Principal Jensen Lunn previously contested the British GT with his own team in the first half of the last decade, but then took a sabbatical from racing for several years before returning in 2012 for a successful season in Class 4 of the Britcar Endurance Championship with a Chevron GR8.

“This is great news for us,” he began. “Since re-opening at the start of 2012 we have grown rapidly with the help of our commercial partners and a lot of hard work by the team.  Britcar has offered us a great platform to work from this season and as the top points-scoring Class 4 car in 2012 we have proven our potential again. Based on this we are delighted to confirm we have agreed a multi-year deal with our commercial partners Capital Compactors. This deal enables us to continue our expansion including our new Hospitality truck and development of our 2014 British GT challenger.”

2013 will see Lunn and new driving partner Alistair Lindsay moving up to Class 3 of the BEC with the Chevron, but could also see the debut of the still to be announced GT3 car in the BGT, probably at Zandvoort.
