Prospeed Competition Confirm Blancpain Drivers

Soulet, Hennerici and Maassen for #75 Porsche

The first season of the #75 Prospeed Porsche 911 GT3-R in the Blancpain Endurance Series saw the Belgian team take a race win and finish third in the overall standings

Now for the second year the team will field Marc Hennerici, Xavier Maassen and Maxime Soulet in a 2013 spec Porsche 911 GT3-R.

Rudi Penders (Team Principal)

“We had already laid the foundations last year and those are solid. Today two new elements have been added: a young professional driver, who has already worked with us for four years, and a new technical evolution of the Porsche 911 GT3-R. Our first assignment is three days of testing on three different European circuits, allowing us immediately to become acquainted with the possibilities that this Porsche offers with the 911 Spec. 2013. The care and attention that Porsche Motorsport is showing to meet our expectations is exceptional. Luc Goris and myself are fully aware of this: ProSpeed Competition, this is the work of an entire team and this is how every day we gain the trust, amongst others of our partners Alcra Flash, CPL Trans and Penders Porsche Centre Liège”.

Marc Hennerici

“Cohesion is a fundamental component of motorsport. To complete a second season with ProSpeed Competition was my wish and that of my manager Dr. Hugo Koch also. The results achieved did not make the decision too difficult to make. It is a pity that Marc Goossens, due to his activities in the ALMS, can no longer be a part of our team. On the other hand Maxime Soulet is more than a worthy successor. With Xavier and the fast, young Belgian the objective is clear, namely to be playing up front. Competition in 2013 will be even more intense than last year, however our success at the Nürburgring has definitely shown the strength of our commitment.”

Xavier Maassen

“I’m delighted that we will be taking our momentum a step further. ProSpeed Competition is a highly drive team, last year Marc Hennerici proved his speed and I’m convinced that Maxime Soulet will be a strong successor to Marc Goossens. On top of that Porsche has once again brought out improvements to the 911 GT3-R. Our project’s continuity and the renewed input from one and all implies that once gain we will be battling it out for the first place this season. I’m impatiently counting down to this new season of the Blancpain Endurance Series.”

Maxime Soulet

“This will be my fifth season with ProSpeed Competition. The work carried out by the Porsche Motorsport engineers last winter is extremely important. I’m looking forward to evaluating the results at the wheel of the car. I‘m also looking forward to the collaboration with Xavier and Marc in the ‘big’ category. Spike Communications and BatyMaes are with us once more and the Les Lacs de l’Eau d’Heure is a new partner coming on board.”

ProSpeed Competition, which is presently hard at work moving to a new location, will be entering a second Porsche 911 GT3-R “2013” in the SRO competition.
