Despite not taking part in the Britcar 500 - the Rollcentre boss instead racing at Spa this weekend - Martin Short will have been delighted to see that Mosler MT900Rs will fill the first three slots on the grid for Saturday's big Britcar race. The Topcat Racing version of Andrew Beaumont,  Pat Gormley and Ben Clucas claimed pole, but found the Strata 21 and Eclipse cars very much breathing down their necks; just 0.115seconds separating first from third.

Pole for the Production class, meanwhile, was claimed by the Intersport BMW M3 E46 of Kevin Clarke and Wayne Gibson by the relatively huge margin of 0.282s over the JDR Lotus Elise.
