The last of the grandfathered cars, the Maserati MC12 has been a dominant force in FIA GT racing for years in the hands of Vitaphone Racing - The good news for the World GT1 Championship organisers is that the classy team are back for more - But will it be good news for the competition? No news yet of the driver line up in the team's MC12s but team owner Michael Bartels will surely fancy a World Championship trophy to add to his collection?
The second pair of MC12s is entered by the Triple H Hegersport team, effectively a Vitphone satellite squad fronted by veteran Touring Car racer and sometime VLN and FIA GT man Altfrid Heger.
