Spa 24 Hours - Hour 7

The BMS Porsche pits from second place for what seems a routine stop but after only 22 laps - is it dry enough for slicks again - difficult to tell with no TV until 9am and in full darkness.

The #16 IMSA Porsche (Pilet) is 2 minutes behind the leader and is about to lose the position to Holzer in the #13 Prospeed Porsche. The change happens on lap 140. 

Richard Dean has gone by the Trackspeed Porsche into tenth, the United boss taking over after a 2 hour 8 minute Eddie Cheever double. He follows that up by taking back one of the 5 lap deficit to the leader, going by Adork and pulling away, the Audis liking the conditions at present it seems.

The RJN squad are consoling themselves by challenging Playstation player supreme Lucas Ordonez in the Smoking Dog.

Bad news for the Muehlner Motorsport squad as the #52 car which had been up as high as eighth overall is reported stopped at Turn 15, a transmission problem the report from the driver.

The #73 WRT Audi (Verbist) blows by the delayed #78 BMW 7th

There's a fine battle underway fpr 12th with the #99 Marc VDS Ford and #53 Muehlner Porsche chasing down the #17 IMSA Porsche. Both the chasing GT3 machines get by the GT2 Porsche on lap 138.

Continuing the  'Audis like these conditions' theme the #50 Phoenix R8 is catching the Porsche pair ahead very quickly, 5 seconds a lap faster at the moment with its pace matched by the 5th placed #2 AF Corse Ferrari - a further 20+ seconds behind closing in too.

The sister #51 Audi meanwhile is making inroads into its early race deficit, its back into the top 15 and about to get involved with the group ahead squabbling over 12th.

The third placed #16 Porsche (after a 31 lap stint) and 4th placed #50 Audi pit together just 3 seconds apart.  AF Corse's #2 car will inherit third for now.

The #69 GT4 car has rejoined after a 5 hour plus 'stop' We have three runners in GT4 for the first time since the first hour of the race! 

The leader pits on lap 152 after a 32 lap stint - the #50 Audi menwhile is past the #16 Porsche, up into 5th and reeling in the #23 BMS Porsche ahead very quickly - it takes 4th on lap 151 with the IMSA Porsche now closing in on the BMS car too - It takes the place on lap 152.

The lead gap is down to less than 3 seconds after the lead BMW's latest stop, Holzer though owes us a routine stop (their 5th to the BMWs 7!) Adorf stayed aboard in #79 after the stop.

As we get to the end of the hour the lead gap is less than a second with the AF Corse Ferrari a further 26 seconds back and catching bothand the #50 Phoenix Audi catching all three, currently lapping six seconds a lap faster than the lead pair.
