Spa 24 Hours - Hour 8

The second placed Prospeed Porsche pitted as passed the hour whilst right on the tail of the leader, the #2 AF Corse Ferrari (Bruni) grabbed the place for a single lap before pitting too, Gimmi stays aboard.

Richard Dean pits in the charging #68 United Audi from 9th.

Fassler is the man on the move in the Phoenix Audi, now up to second with Long in #16, Lieb in #13 and Ragginger in #23 all chasing too. the top five are all now back on the same lap.  There's less than 90 seconds first to second and less than 40 seconds from second and sixth.

Lamy pits on lap 176, still in seventh.

Long is right with Bruni.

The #52 Muehlner Porsche is a confirmed retirement - broken transmission at Stavelot.

The #51 Phoenix Porsche is up to 12th and now reeling in the Trackspeed Porsche ahead. It flashes up on screen though that the car is running slowly and then that a car has stopped at T4 - is this the end of a fine recovery run?

The #51 Audi gets back to the pits, there's another car stopped at T4, (actually on the track on the Kemmel straight says Stefan Johansson aboard the #67 Audi) , its the delayed #74 WRT R8 - did those two have a coming together?

The edge seems to have gone from the #78 BMWs pace at present, its being caught by the #73 WRT Audi for 7th.  The BMW pits on Lap 164 and #73 moves ahead.

The lead gap is back under a minute as the #50 car keeps up a very good pace - its taking up to 7 seconds a lap out of the BMW art the moment.

Bruni is fending off Long and now gradually pulling clear.

#51 rejoins, now 16th.

#50 pits from second, 38 seconds back from the leader and the 6th placed BMS Porsche rolls down pitlane too - at the moment still on the lead lap.
