AF Corse And BMS Announce FIA GT Plans

The AF Corse team will be behind a 3 car GT2 entry for this year's FIA GT Championship

The reigning GT2 team Champions are looking for a fourth straight title with a high quality line-up:

The 2008 winning crew of Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander will be back to defend their title in the #50 Ferrari 430 GT2 2009 whilst the sister #51 car sees ex World Series By Renault Spaniard Alvaro Barba joined by Ferrari Challenge and FIA GT3 racer Niki Cadei

Team boss Amato Ferrari admitted that his goal is to claim a fourth title, although he knows that it will be more difficult than ever "This year, our rivals are really great and their performances are similar to ours, but we will go flat out for a win as we have always done."

Pecom Racing Team, this year racing under the Argentine flag, will once again field a Ferrari 430 GT2 for Luis Perez Companc and Matias Russo, the pair looking for two from two at Silverstone after claiming a home victory in the final round of 2008. This year the team is focussing on improving further in their results, and Amato Ferrari is optimistic of their chances of success, especially after a fine result in the 12 Hours of Sebring along with Gianmaria Bruni.

Fellow Italian squad BMS Scuderia Italia meanwhile will field a pair of Ferrari F430s too.

Matteo Malucelli and Paolo Ruberti, two thirds of the team's winning crew at last season's Total 24 Hours of Spa, will be behind the wheel of the #77 car joining the already announced young Italo-German line-up in #78.  Kenneth Heyer, previously seen in the GTO Charouz Mosler, will drive with Diego Romanini of Italy, making his FIA GT debut.
