Norma Returns To Le Mans Series French team Extrême Limite, based near Nantes, has bought the Norma M200 P, the first LM P2 prototype built for the new 2011 regulations. It will enter it in the five 2011 Le Mans Series races and will ask for an entry for Le Mans. The lead driver will be Fabien Rosier and the team is looking for driver(s) with budget to complete the line-up. Extrême Limite will have the factory support of Norma Auto Concept, the builder of Norma prototypes. The Norma M200P did its first race last year at Le Mans. It was powered then by the Judd DB engine. For this season it will use the new Judd HK engine, because of the regulation changes. The first testing session will take place in the coming week, on a circuit undecided yet. Testing will begin with the Judd DB engine. Extrême Limite will continue to race in VdeV, entering the new Norma M20 FC, the third evolution of this CN prototype. This team won its first race in VdeV at Lédenon this year, thanks to Fabien Rosier and Philippe Papin, who finished 6th in the 2010 challenge. Extrême Limite is managed by Patrice Roussel, who did Le Mans six times (1993, 1995, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), winning the LM P2 class in 1995 in a Debora and finishing second in the same class in 2004 in a WR. |
