British GT Media Day – Busy 2009 Ahead For ABG

The dsc link with ABG Motorsport’s Peter Hignett go back to our predecessor site Totalmotorsport, named for the team which Peter prepared the fan favourite BTCC Lexus for sportscar men Thomas Erdos and Kurt Luby.

After some lean times of late ABG Motorsport is in rude health, Hignett presenting a pair of very different cars at Silverstone with the GT3 class Viper and Supersports class KTM.

“We’re very busy indeed at the moment. The Viper is confirmed for the full season and I have one driver, Marcus Clutton, confirmed in the X-Bow for Oulton Park.”

Indeed ABG are now an official KTM dealer and service agent, the team’s second truck on KTM duty elsewhere.

“It’s in the south of France at one of KTM’s ‘Orange Days’ a track day event for KTM customers – There are 47 cars out there for this one including four from ABG.”

So what else are ABG up to Peter?

“We have plenty of business in GT Cup, three Porsches and Glynn Geddie in a KTM plus Jim Geddie’s 997 RSR in Britcar and Rod Carmen in Porsche Cup and Open with a new 997 Cup.”

So barely a weekend off until Autumn for the boys from Cheshire.
