Trimite Win A Classic

James Gornall and Jon Barnes took a second win of the year for the Team Trimite Viper Coupe, less than a second ahead of Bradley Ellis and Alex Mortimer in the Ford GT after an extraordinary finish to a classic race.

Mortimer had earlier seen a big lead wiped out by a safety car, but Ellis fought back from 14th to fall just a few lengths shy of a win. Barnes had similarly hunted down a dogged Luke Hines for the lead and drove superbly to take the win.

In GT4, it was rather less dramatic; with Rob Austin comfortably holding back the RPM Ginetta of Nigel Redwood after Andrew Howard and Nigel Moore had clashed while fighting for the lead earlier in the race.
