Interlagos 1000 Miles On 11 November
The Le Mans Series is set to expand to six races this year, with the addition of an event on November 11 at Interlagos. It will be run over a distance of 1609 km – so the Mil Milhas (1000 miles) it is, which will be the first Le Mans Series race outside Europe, and the first to cover more than 1000 km.

The organisers will transport the cars by ship from Europe to South America, which will include 10 to 15 cubic metres of spares – plus six return tickets, by air, for team personnel.

Teams planning to attend Petit Le Mans (October 6) and then head to Brazil will find all their travel costs covered from Atlanta to Sao Paolo (and then back to Europe).

Although the race hasn’t quite been formally announced, teams intending to run in all six Le Mans Series events are required to submit their application (and fee) by January 26.
