GTC Class Takes Shape Three Eligible Models For 2012
Having previously announced a GTC class for 2012, the Le Mans Series organisers have now revealed what this will look like in its first year. This follows a recent meeting between the organisers and manufacturers involved in the series, at which three eligible models were decided upon:
Ferrari F430 Challenge Lotus Evora GT4/GTC Porsche 911 Carrera Cup 2010 & 2011
A light parts kit will be mandatory for all cars, in order to adapt them to endurance-format races and balance their performance. Driving squads will be as per LM GTE AM rules.
The announcement also promises that a calendar for next season will be issued "very soon."
