Italian GT, Vallelunga - Preview More Pyrotechnics Expected
This weekend the Campianato Italiano Gran Turismo will have its second round at Vallelunga, near Rome, just two weeks after the “pyrotechnical” opener at Misano.
As many as 35 cars will be expected in the three class - with separate races for the GT2/GT3 cars - with the Kessel Racing 430 GT2 for Peter-Broniszewski as a wild-card. There'll be a new co-driver for Gianluca Giraudi in the Audi Sport Italia R8, as Dindo Capello will race at Spa in the 1000km; Richard Antinucci taking his seat this weekend. Also in the GT3 the Mik Corse will have an “old” Gallardo GT3 for tba drivers.
There are new cars in the GT Cup also, with the Ginetta G50 GT4 and some Porsche Caymans joining in.
Race 1 for each class will be on Saturday afternoon, with race 2 on Sunday. There should be fine weather at the weekend, after 10 days of hard rain falling across the country.
