Total 24 Hours of Spa - Qualifying 2 Report

Qualifying 2 started on a wet track again and no chance of the provisional pole time being improved. 8 minutes into the session the #55 Graff Racing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 of Mike Parisy went fastest in a time of 2:41.866, a lap time that wasn’t going to be improved anymore.

Jan Stovicek in the #008 GPR AMR Aston Martin DBRS9 hit problems 20 minutes into the second qualifying when he stopped at La Source with damage to the front of the Aston and oil leaking from the car. Sport Garage’s #22 Ferrari 430 Scuderia rejoined almost at the same time after its incident earlier in the day.

The session ended early when the red flags came out for two incidents on the track. The Speed Lover Aston Martin Vantage GT4 #104 ended up in the gravel trap, with the #16 KRK Racing Team Holland Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 coming to a stop at the exit of the pit lane on top of the Raidillon. The team reported it would be hard to repair the car.
