CRS Confirms LMS Lineup
Hummel, Quaife and Christodoulou

CRS Racing has confirmed that the lineup for its LM GTE-Am Ferrari F430 will be Klaas Hummel, Phil Quaife and Adam Christodoulou.

Dutch driver Hummel moves up to the LMS with CRS after racing with the team in FIA GT3 in 2009 and last year in the GT Open, where he was partnered by Chris Goodwin.

Christodoulou, meanwhile, has a successful history with the team, having won the 2008 Formula Renault UK Championship with them and then last year taking podium finishes in two guest appearances in the GT Open. He also has a year's Grand-Am GT experience under his belt after driving with SpeedSource in 2010; “This is a great opportunity for me,” said Christodoulou.

“I’m with a team that I know well, driving a car that they know well.  I think we have a strong line-up and every chance of taking some good results this year, especially as anything can happen in those long races. To be racing in the Le Mans Series will be a great challenge too, competing against some of the world’s top drivers. I’m looking forward to getting back in the car next month to start testing.”

Quaife meanwhile, is looking to build on the experience that he has amassed with CRS; “I’m thrilled to be back with CRS Racing and driving in the Le Mans Series,” he said. “2011 will be my third year with the team. They’ve always been great to work with and it has been my intention since the end of last season to come back. Making my debut in the LMS last year was the pinnacle of my career so far and I can’t wait to start my second season.

“Because we’re driving last year’s car, Adam, Klaas and I will race in the new GT2 Pro-Am category and I think we’re capable of mounting a challenge for the title. Klaas has good experience with the team and the car from the GT Open last year, while Adam is a very quick driver who has adapted brilliantly to racing GT cars.

“The LMS is the best championship I’ve ever raced in. The standard of competition is extremely high and the challenge of the six-hour races is tough for the drivers, the teams and the cars! We had a bit of bad luck last year but we’re ready to come back and fight for the title in 2011.”
