Sebring Night Practice
Not Much - Thankfully

A wise man once said that nothing but bad happens in night practice. It was Tom Moore, PR for Drayson Racing who last said it, so I guess that makes him a wise man.

Based upon that comment, I guess nothing much happened in night practice. The closest would be an oops when Jan Magnussen had a moment on a downshift where the rear locked, stepped out and sent him lightly into the tires. A scuff on the bodywork and a slight bending of the rear wing was all that happened to the car. That was pretty much it.

Risi made it back on track late and the Robertson Ford GT also made it out. The Rocketsports Jaguar did not make it out. In the afternoon session, it suffered a drive train failure, which apparently cut some sort of an oil line and started a minor fire. As such, technically none of the drivers meet the night practice regulation of a mandatory 3 laps - it remains to be seen how this will be dealt with.

File this under I'm not too sure how to react to this - apparently there may be a change in the regulations, in which a car that is stranded track side may be allowed a tow back to the pits and/or paddock for repairs and then be allowed to re-enter the race, as long as it meets certain criteria. No confirmation of this yet as of yet and there is also no confirmation as to what the conditions are to grant the tow back.
