Italian GT, Vallelunga - Free Practice Report Free practice for the second round of the Italian GT at Vallelunga saw, thank God, a dry track for the two half-hour sessions, with a very good balance of times. In each of the two sessions the top times saw a Ferrari on top in GT2 - Aguas-Garofano in the first, and Cioci-Perazzini in the second - but the Autorlando Porsche, at least in the second session, was very well in touch. Good times also for the wild-card Kessel Racing with Philipp Peter very fast. GT3 saw top times for the new 997 R of Borghi-DeLorenzi in the first session, with Caccia-Bontempelli in the Ferrari 430 and Albuquerque-Bonanomi in the Audi R8 very well in touch. The second session saw on top of the category the new co-driver for Gianluca Roda (with Patrick Pilet also at Spa for the 1000km, along with Dindo Capello), Wolf Henzler, doing “business as usual” at the top og the timesheet. Ferraris were behing him, with Earle-Garofano, Caccia-Bontepelli and yet again the R8 of Bonanomi-Albuquerque. In the GT Cup top time in the first session went to the new Mik Corse Gallardo with Giorgio Sanna at the wheel. The second session was all Porsche at the front, with Baccani-Bellini ahead of Caffi-Fratti. It should be a dry qualifying in the afternoon, while for the first races during the late afternoon we could have yet again some hard rain. Session one times - here Session two times - here Gabriele Tosi
