ALMS, Laguna Seca - Warm-Up Issue For The Pole Car - AWOL Autographs A Baby Wow. Blue sky here. Saturday morning is a perfect example of why we love Laguna Seca. Blue sky, a hint of the ocean air and car racing. It doesn’t get much better than that. Oh, In-n-Out is close by too. (The count is now up to 2…) Anyway warm up (in more ways than one) came and went. There were no real incidents to speak of, such as off track excursions, but the 16 Dyson ended the session parked on the track surface on the uphill climb to turn 6, smoking slightly. Earlier in the session, Jay Cochran had a quick excursion into the kitty litter, but it simply appeared to be a harmless off. Official word from the team is that it was an electrical issue. A motor swap is taking place as this is being written. The feeling is that the team will have the car ready for the race, even if it means starting from the back of the grid or pit lane. Other than that, a pretty quiet and uneventful session. For those that keep track of this kind of stuff, Cytosport was fastest in the session overall. Fastest of the GT type cars was the Porsche Hybrid while of the regular GT class, Johannes van Overbeek was the fastest.
