Sebring Race - Final Hour
Not Much Changes

The gap up front is stretching – now it’s about 10 seconds. The pace has quickened a bit too - down to the 46 and 47 range.

Brabs in with 46 minutes to go. Marino into the car. Sascha pulls the P2 leading leader in. Graf into the car.

The leader in. Fuel and tires and back out. While the leader pitted, Sea-Bass pulls off a 1:45 and retakes the lead. Still has to stop though…

Risi in for one last time. Kaffer out, Melo in. Away in a cloud of smoke.

Another 1:45 for Sea-Bass. The lead for the 08 is now 1:12. In with 40 minutes to go. A 46 for Wurz. Fuel and tires for the 08, but the 07 retakes the lead. Sea-Bass looped the 08 on his own on the cold tires, just in front of the Drayson. The gap is +20 for 07. Is that it with 36 minutes to go?

Timing and scoring now shows retirements for 01, 89 and 75.

Primetime let loose a big cloud of smoke going down the front straight and pulled into the pits.

As far as the battle up front, the team made the call – both cars stop and take tires. No fight to the end. A minor spin for the Aston? No big problem.

Hunter-Reay does spin the 95 and really struggles to get it started. Finally restarts, after nearly getting hit. No caution.

20 minutes to go. Primetime makes it back out. Left a huge oil puddle in pit lane. Drayson into the pits again – checking out the overheating/coolant leak.

Less than 15 minutes to go – thankfully…

Beginning to look like another Risi major endurance win.  3 major endurance wins for Peugeot.

Overall lead down to 11 seconds.  Lead in GT2 down to 1:09 with 5 minutes to go.

Great result for Cytosport - heartbreak for Highcroft.

90 Dirk Mueller Spins away second place on the final corner, recovers to finish 36 seconds behind his team mate.

Not a classic by any means, but this race will be remembered for some quite impressive efforts.

Good Night from Sebring.
