24 Hour Series Calendar Finalised

The Creventic BV organisation’s inaugural series of 24-hour races for touring cars, GTs and 24h-specials, has finally settled on a 2008 calenmdar after a series of initial difficulties.

After a successful opening race at Dubai in January the Series will next hit the track at the Lausitzring in August for the 24 Hours at EuroSpeedway (August 16/ 17)

Next up will be the 12 Hours of Hungaroring, the organisers forced by local environmental groups to cede defeat in not racing after 22:00s at the Grand Prix circuit on 27 September 27.

The season concludes on 11/12 October with the 24 Hours of Valencia.

Gerrie Willems for the race promoter, Creventic BV states that more than 40 teams have already registered for the series with free circuit entry offered for each event to the public (A charge of 10 Euros for a one-day paddock pass or 17.50 Euros for the entire event from Friday till Sunday applies to each weekend)

Meanwhile, the date has also been set for the fourth running of the Toyo Tyres 24H of Dubai, the race will be run from Friday, January 9th and Saturday, January 10th, 2009.
