FIA GT3 Race 2 Result / Quick Report

Contrary to expectations, the second GT3 race of the weekend was run in dry conditions and with no hint of rain. Once again penalties played a part in the proceedings, but unlike the first race there was to be no safety car period.

The race boiled down to an epic battle between Gilles Vannelet, Erik Janis and Nicholas Navarro; but Vannelet hung on by his fingertips to the lead and crossed the line half a second ahead of Janis, with Navarro a further two tenths further back.

Trackspeed again won the battle of the Porsches; Richard Williams winning points with a seventh place finish. Ben Collins was the standout Ascari driver, while Howard Spooner and Adrian Willmott salvaged a bad day for Damax by taking the top finishing spot for a KZR1.
