Blue, Blue, Electric Blue For Pegasus Big Plans For 2011 & Beyond
We won't get full details for a few more days, but Pegasus Racing has announced that it will be running two cars in the 2011 LMS, and that it is in the process of building a zero-emission, all-electric prototype.
Julien Schell's team will continue to run its P2 Courage-Oreca, although this year it will be powered by HPD's 2011 2.8lt V6. In addition, the team will field a Formula Le Mans in that category of the series. Pegasus has also submitted an entry for the 2011 Le Mans 24 Hours.
The electric prototype is the most intruiging part of the press release, and we await further details with considerable interest; but the implication is that this is not an aspiration but a project very much work in progress. Could this be this year's occupant of box #56 at La Sarthe?
