Rebellion’s New Look

There’s a very busy couple of weeks in prospect for Rebellion Racing as the team’s trio of Toyota engined Lola Coupes get ready for their first public appearances.

Two of the team’s cars will be in action this weekend at the Le Mans Series Test Days at Paul Ricard HTTT with the third coupe set to take to the track the following week for the 12 Hours of Sebring.

The HTTT test then will see the wraps taken off the team’s new look for the season, here seen for the very first time, the Toyota branding in the form of the TMG (Toyota Motorsport Gmbh) moniker of the Cologne based motorsport offshoot.

All six Rebellion Racing drivers will be present at Paul Ricard.

In car #12, regular drivers Neel Jani and Nico Prost will be joined by Jeroen Bleekemolen and in car #13 Guy Smith will rejoin Andrea Belicchi and Jean-Christophe Boullion at the track where they achieved a podium finish in the Le Mans Series opening race of 2010 – 2011 though will see last year’s Judd V10 replaced by the 3.4 litre RV8KLM Toyota engine.

As soon as the two day test in the South of France has ended, the drivers and crew will fly to the USA for the Sebring 12 Hour week where they will join up with an advance party of team members who travelled ahead to oversee the unloading and set up of the third Lola-Toyota and equipment.
