Jota’s GTE Plans

With Jota’s Vantage GT2 now in the team’s Kentish workshop plans are being laid to get to know their new charge.

Sam Hancock:

“The car is now in a million bits as the boys go through it to learn all they can about what makes it tick and how to do the basic jobs and potential tasks as quickly as possible.”

“We’ll be in the full LMS and we’ve posted an entry for Le Mans too – Simon Dolan and I will drive in the LMS and we’re looking for a third driver for le Mans, and potentially for some LMS races too depending on whether I end up with any LMP1 commitments for the factory team later this year.”

"The first public showing of the Jota Vantage will be at the LMS pre-season test at Paul Ricard in mid March but before then the team will be heading for Spain for a private test.”

In the meantime though - with thanks to Simon Dolan - here's a very early pic of the car in its Jota livery!

And the future?

“We’ve got the will and the desire to do the ILMC but the budget this season won’t get us there quite yet.”

The team do though have their Spa 24 Hours class winning Vantage GT4 up for sale – so if you want to see Jota in the ILMC next year make them an offer!
