ILMC/ALMS, Petit Le Mans - To The Finish

We're 9:10 into this race but with just 16 laps remaining - Time for a quick look at where some of the important Championship battles lie.

LMPC Teams and driver's titles look set to go to Core Motorpsorts, Gunnar Jeannette and Ricardo Gonzales after a topsy turvy battle that has seen incidents galore and not a little great racing too with the spec Orecas.

GTC looks almost certain to fall to Black Swan unless the first and third positions now are somehow reversed.

In ILMC, Peugeot are Manufacturers Champions.

13 laps remaining and Bergmeister has not given up on second in GTE Pro, the gap less than a second, the world's tallest German once again involved in a late race GTE battle!

The #16 Dyson Lola Mazda spins from seventh, there's been contact with one of the Core LMPCs - but which one, the car has rear end damage - This could settle the championship! It's the #05 - Ryan Dalziel.

A number of other cars have near misses in avoidance - the #055 HPD over the grass and the #66 TRG Porsche spinning in avoidance.

Full Course Caution - with just 7 laps remaining.

If the Core car can't continue then the #063 car will overhaul the car for position. Dalziel has not made it back to the pits the car under tow. Lux Jeannette and Gonzales tie for the Drivers Championship courtesy of a tied points total plus identical numbers of race wins, second, third, fourth and fifth place finishes!) -  The teams championship goes to Core by just a single point.

Franck Montagny tells ESPN that he didn't move over during the Dumas eliminating incident - An interesting perspective.

The race goes green with 3 laps remaining and close battles likely in GTE for the Championship and second - and in GTC for the race.

Bergmeister pulls off a stunning pass through traffic T9 threading the needle and holding off the BMW down the hill and into T10.

Final Lap - the #8 Peugeot wins - (that's 13 wins over Audi in the last 15 meetings!)

AF Corse wins GTE Pro whilst Bergmeister holds off Werner by 0.182 of a second to take the tyre manufacturer title for Michelin.

In LMP1 Oreca complete the career for the 908 HDI FAP with a fine second place - a second place here follows their famous Sebring win.

Third goes to Aston Martin Racing - the Boys from Banbury's Plan B pays off again!!  #007 follows up a Monterey ALMS win with a podium finish here!

Scott Tucker takes the flag after getting aboard the #33 HPD under that final caution - He locks up the LMP2 win - The team are whooping and dancing - or is it his partners? The HPG ARX 01g wins against strong opposition.

United Autosports bring home the #22 Pescarolo home in a fine second place, Zak Brown taking the flag, with Lucas Ordonez coming home third for Signatech Nissan.

GTE-Am went to the locally based Krohn racing team - 2 laps clear of ILMC class Champions Larbre Competition with their #50 Corvette with Rui Aguas bringing the #61 AF Corse Ferrari 430 home third.

GTC went to Black Swan, team Champions with Tim Pappas taking the drivers crown.  AJR took second tonight- 8 seconds back, the #66 TRG car after getting caught up in the Dyson/ #05 Core clash.

In LMPC the race win went to PR1, Ryan Lewis holding off a last lap Intersport charge from Kyle Marcelli, the margin just 0.172 seconds - the #06 Core car completes the podium.

In the Green X Challenge - United Autosports win the LMP contest here - the #4 Corvette in GT - Across the season auto entries to Le Mans go to the #16 Dyson Lola Mazda and the #56 RLL BMW

ILMC Teams championships have been won by Peugeot Sport Total (LMP1), Signatech Nissan (LMP2) and Larbre Competition (GTE-AM) - AF Corse require just a couple of points in China to seal GTE Pro, and Ferrari need just a couple too, to seal the Manufacturers title over BMW.
