Progress For Q8 Oils Hache Team
Encouraging Barcelona Test

Having made its first steps into international sportscar racing at the 1000k LMS race at Barcelona earlier in the month - where the team recorded a retirement after 98 laps - Q8 Oils Hache Team has been working hard on improving the performance of its Lucchini Judd, and has just completed a successful two-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Máximo Cortés was behind the wheel for the test, which focused mainly on assessing the car's new rear wing, and by the end of the two days had improved the Lucchini's pace by two seconds compared to  its performance at the LMS meeting.

"The first day we spent time adjusting to the new wing, but the truth is that it was worth it," said the 21 year old Spaniard. "The Lucchini Judd's behavior has improved a lot compared to the 1,000 Kilometers of Catalunya and now the car is much easier to drive. Besides the new wing, we have focused on the work of tuning, something that has not been done so far.

"We will see that we can at Spa, but we realize we still have much work to do, and that our means are very limited. We know that this is a year of learning for all and that the car does not allow us to aspire to qualify among the frontrunners in LMP2, but I think we can significantly reduce the disadvantage we had in Montmeló."
