Grand-Am, Rolex 24 At Daytona - Hours 2 to 3

More drama for Ganassi as the #01 Riley hits trouble and has to have the gear cluster changed.

As the race continues under caution, Angelelli leads Garcia and Gurney.

16:38 Pruett rejoins in the #01, down in 19th place. dario Franchitti in the #02 is four places ahead.

16:39 Green. AJ Allmendinger, Alex Gurney and Pat Long almost take each other out at T1. Gurney drops to fourth but stays ahead of Long.

Mark Patterson is now in the #23 UA Riley.

As the stops continue, Liddell has reclaimed the GT lead while Said retakes second from Jonathan Bomarito; who somehow has managed to get the #70 Mazda up to the front after taking over from tremblay.

16:45 Pruett fails to make the turn into the infield and goes through the cones. Trouble downshifting? The cluster was changed owing to the #01 hitting the rev-limiter too much.

The #81 DragonSpeed Ferrari also stops in the no-mans-land between T1 and T6.

With 40 laps completed, the order is 10, 90, 6, 45, 60, 99, 76, 9, 5 and 8 in DP and 57, 94, 54, 70, 66, 59, 41, 44 and 69 in GT.

"I fumbled the start," admitted Scott Dixon. "We're a bit down on power against the Chevrolets, which seem much faster, and then I got a puncture - I don't know why; I didn't hit anything."

As the SunTrust car extends its lead to five seconds, Said is keeping the gap to Liddell in GT to just over a second. Jeroen Bleekemolen has moved up to third in the #54 TRG/Black Swan Porsche, just a second back.

Pat Long is up to third in the #45.

16:58 Boris Said takes the #94 into the GT lead. Meanwhile, Long takes second from the Spirit of Daytona Coyote of Antonio Garcia and the battle for the overall lead looks to be back on.

17:02 The Mitchum Porsche has hit more trouble and grinds to a halt (unaided)

The #8 Starworks Riley has a very dramatic moment as Mike Forest gets the Bus Stop completely wrong and manages to shift most of the loose earth onto the track in a huge cloud of dust.

17:09 three right-rear punctures all occur on the same lap - #70 Mazda, #57 Camaro and a second for the #02. All three get back to the pits but Liddell can't get away.

FCY #3

17:15 Leader in and out. Rear end comes off very quickly and Ryan Briscoe now in the car.

Mark Blundell is now in the #23 and makes it out of the pitlane ahead of Seth Neiman in the #45.

Liddell's Camaro has gone back to the garage.

The yellow is a lengthy one as, presumably, the mess at the Bus Stop is cleaned up.

17:26 Green. #95 hits the wall as the safety car pulls off. No caution.  The replay shows that Scott Tucker tried to get the drop on the #45, but Seth Neiman was moving across and the Level 5 car hit the Lizard car before contacting the wall. Tucker pits, Neiman continues.

Nic Jonsson led at the restart, but Paul Edwards has the #90 Coyote into the lead almost immediately.

#65 is the latest car to fall foul of the Bus Stop; Bill Sweedler in the car.

17:37 The fight for the lead is hust a quarter of a second as david Donohue harries Edwards in the #5 Action Express Riley.Jonsson closes back up as the fight winds its way through traffic.

The #57 Stevenson Camaro is suffering from fuel pressure problems.

17:41 66 laps gone. 1.127s covers first to third.

17:42 The #81 Ferrari, #66 TRG Porsche and #45 Riley all go off track on the infield. The TRG and Lizard cars gor behind the wall - right-rear puncture for the Porsche and left front splitter damage for the Riley - while the Ferrari continues. It is unclear what the cause of all this was.

Joey Atterbury spins the Mitchum Porsche and is so very nearly collected by Franchitti in the #02 Riley.

Seth Neiman; "I came through the kink and had three GTs spinning ahead of me. I had to go across the grass to avoid them, but hit a lip and it's damaged the radiator. I have no idea how long it will take to fix."

17:48 Donohue leads.

Terry Borchellor and Mark Blundell are having a great scrap for fourth, with the Action Express car having just taken the place from the UA driver.

Christophe Bouchut takes Briscoe on lap 71 to move the #55 Level 5 Riley up to sixth.

17:54 Despite having lost the lead, Edwards is not letting Donohue go and is just half a second behind in second. Jonsson has fallen back two seconds.

Bill Auberlen's lead in GT is now 31 seconds over Richard Lietz in the #44 Magnus Racing Porsche, while Dane Cameron is third in the #41 Dempsey Racing Mazda.

Wolf Henzler is currently 13th in the #67 TRG Porsche, with its journey from the back of the field not proving to be an easy one.

18:00 The fight for third in DP now features a four-car train, with Jonsson leading Borcheller, Blundell and Bouchut; and with Ryan Dalziel closing up.

The voice of Radio Le Mans, John Hindhaugh, has been down to the Flying Lizard pit and reports that Joerg Bergmeister "is gutted. He says the car has never felt so good."

18:02 The Bus Stop strikes again. Edwards has a spin and drops down to ninth in the Coyote, while shortly afterwards Alex Popow rips the front end off the #2 Starworks Riley after doing some potato digging.

18:08 Scott Pruett has the #01 Ganassi Riley up to fourth ahead of Mark Blundell.

18:11 A spin by Nic Jonsson drops the #76 Lola down to fifth.

18:12 FCY #4

The light is fading rapidly and the floodlights are now illuminated.

the #76 Lola pits and appears to have got away unscathed from the spin. A wholesale round of stops leaves Bouchut in the lead for now.

Jan Magnussen has brought the #57 Stevenson Camaro back into the race, but is 25 laps off Auberlen's class lead; which itself has halved under the latest caution period.

18:29 Green
