CR Scuderia Heads Ferrari 1-2-3 – After A Big One

Michael Cullen drove superbly in his stint to hold off Adam Wilcox and Allan Simonsen this afternoon, to claim his, and CR Scuderia’s, first British GT victory - in an extraordinary race.

A massive crash for Hunter Abbott (Ginetta destroyed in a fireball, but driver amazingly uninjured) caused the race to be red-flagged and restarted as a 30-minute, non-aggregated contest. Abbott barrel-rolled over the Armco, after contact, then hit the back of the armco, which caused fuel to leak out and an ensuing fire, but the car stood up to multiple impacts extremely well.

So did the Modena Lamborghini, which Piers Johnson also barrel-rolled out of the event, with remarkably little damage to the car.

Joe Osborne and Michael Broadhurst survived the carnage in GT4 to take the maiden GT4 victory, for both RPM and the Ginetta G50.
