2011 Le Mans Series Entry List

LMP1 has 6 full season entries listed.  No real surprises here - The Rangoni Motorsport Zytek is listed as a hybrid but will race for much of the 2011 season in conventionally powered form.

11 cars are on the LMP2 list - 9 of them have already been announced on dsc but the 10th and 11th are surprises - Team LNT are back - With a Radical!  This the Libra Racing SR9 with Lawrence Tomlinson, F3 racer James Cole and Andrew Prendeville listed.  Its currently listed with an IES Nissan engine, Graham Dowe Jones of IES now works for the LNT Group.  We'll have much more on this effort in the next day or so

The 11th is an Oreca 03 Nissan for FLM graduates Boutsen Energy, 2010 FLM drivers Dominik Kraihamer and Nicolas de Crem are listed as drivers

GTE Pro debuts in 2011 and the LMS sees 9 cars listed for the season

AF Corse have listed just Giancarlo Fisichella to pilot one of their two Ferrari 458s. 

There are two other 458s listed too - Rob Bell confirmed aboard the JMW entry and confirmation too that Hankook Team Farnbacher are trading up to the new 458 and with SImonsen and Farnbacher staying aboard.

The four 458s will be up against a quartet of Porsches with 2010  GT2 Champions Felbermayer Proton are back with the Lieb/ Lietz combo back for more. Prospeed confirm Marco Holzer and Marc Goossens aboard their Porsche and there's a surprise from IMSA Performance Matmut with an all pro-car featuring the heavyweight talents of Patrick Pilet and Wolf Henzler 

The fourth Porsche is a new entry - GruppeM is a familair moniker to GT racing fans and its back with the GruppeM Eteriti car faturing Stephen Jelley as the first nominated driver.

Finally there's Team Jota's Aston Vantage for Sam Hancock and Simon Dolan - They've need to be on form to get a result against that little lot.

GTE AM also debuts and boast a five car entry in 2011, all of them from teams that contested the Le Mans Series last year.

A trio of Ferrari 430s feature - One apiece from AF Corse (Pierguiseppe Perazzini and Marco Cioci), JMB Racing (Manuel Rodrigues and Dino Lunardi and CRS Racing (Phil Quaife and Michael Lyons).

There's a pair of Porsches too - Raymond Narac joins forces with Nicolas Armindo aboard a second IMSA Performance Matmut car with Felbermayer Proton also entering a second car with Horst Felbermayer Jr listed

Just 5 FLM Orecas are listed for 2011 and only two entrants, Hope Polevision and JMB return from last season.  Michael Tinguely is listed in the Swiss entered car with Maurice Basso returning for JMB.

Pegasus Racing become a two car team with Mirco Schultis joined by Patrick Simon in their FLM car entere alongside the LMP2 Courage.

The two new names to LMS racing include Genoa Racing, the team moving over from the 2010 ALMS with the unique US/ Ecuadorian/ Germa driver line up of Eric Lux, Elton Julian and Christian Zugel  

Finally there's Britcar graduates Neil Garner Racing, stepping up from racing immaculately prepped Porsches to the Oreca FLM09
