British GT, Silverstone – Quick Race Report When Scottish Eyes Are Smiling Jim Geddie spent most of the final 45 minutes of the British GT finale anxiously pacing up and down the Silverstone pitlane, as his son Glynn moved up into the necessary race position to clinch the title – and then insisted on racing Richard Westbrook to the line! Andrew Howard and Jonny Adam celebrated their second win of the season, after an excellent display in the Beechdean Aston DBRS9 – the old girl bowing out in style – after wresting the lead from the United Autosports Audi of Zak Brown. The green-flag racing either side of the caution period were highly entertaining, with numerous position changes throughout the field; Charles Bateman, Duncan Cameron and David Jones just three of the drivers who put in stand-out stints. Phil Glew claimed his third win of the season in the #48 Lotus Evora, accompanied by Chris Holmes, but the title went the way of Peter Belshaw and Marcus Clutton as the #44 KTM X-Bow finished second.
