Friday Images From Le Mans

We’ve been travelling today, Friday – an excellent trip on the Transmanche / LD Lines service from Newhaven to Le Havre, thanks for the tip Mark Cole – but Marc Laffeas captured these images of some of the cars at the track, for scrutineering. The procedure is nothing like the more formal process in the Place des Jacobins in a week or so’s time.

There’s been some rain here today, but hopefully we’re heading for a dry weekend.

Some news from today: it appears that the teams have all been fitting the ALMS position lights to their cars, for their maiden appearance at the 24 Hours.

More from the pits and paddock on Saturday. You’ll recognise most of the cars, but notice the livery of the second Risi (Krohn) Ferrari, the blue AF Corse Ferrari and the PSI C6.R. “D. Smet” is David Hallyday’s real name.
