FIA GT Silverstone – GT4 Cup Provisional Entry

21 cars form the provisional entry for the opening round of the 2009 GT4 Cup.

There are plenty of new cars to the series on display with a pair of BMW M3s, a Porsche 997 and Cherolet Corvette adding new variety to the ranks.  A quartet of Aston Martins, a pair of Nisan 350Z (for Brit outfits RJN and Promotorsport) and a solo Mustang for reigning Champion Eric de Doncker form the core of the entry which is bolstered considerably by the other newcomer, the Ginetta G50.

Six G50s are on the entry list, this of course the first time that the G50 has been permitted in the full Gt4 class in the international series.

Double British GT Championship race winners Team WFR make their international debut with Jody Firth and the mercurial Nigel Moore.  They’ll be joined by fellow British Championship contenders Rob Austin Racing (Hunter Abbott and Henry Fletcher) with G50 Cup graduates Team GCR stepping up with Tom Dunstan and Matt Hamilton.

A Team LNT entry sees Stuart Linn joined by Michael Simpson and there are a pair of entries from Ginetta Cars with as yet un-named drivers.

The Supersports category sees 4 entries, a trio of the unlovely Donkervoorts joined by a solo, and equally visually challenging) KTM.
