01:10 GTE Pro The TV screens show a yellow car suffer a blow-out on the Dunlop Esses. It turns out to be the #74 Corvette which has another eight miles to go on three good wheels.

01:17 GTE Pro Westbrook gets back to the pits having dropped to fourth and goes into the garage. A stop for the #59 installs Farnbacher and also promotes Taylor to second in the #73. Bruni, however, now has a lap on the field.

01:19 LMP2: Pierre Kaffer pits from second in the LMP2 class. Almost two minutes behind the race leading Starworks HPD, now driven by Ryan Dalziel.

01:20 GTE Pro Turner makes his latest stop in the Aston and moves past the #74 Corvette to fifth. Lietz is 40 seconds ahead in fourth in the #77 Porsche, but will probably lose the place at the next stop. The Corvette team is changing brakes pads on Westbrook's car as repairs continue.

01:21 GTE Pro All is well and on programme in the #66 JMW Ferrari pits, but the cold temperatures mean that the team will have to single-stint their tyres through the night.

01:21 LMP2: Olivier Pla (#24 OAK Racing Pescarolo 01 Judd): "We've got engine problems. I was coming up through the second chicane on the Hunaudieres and I had an oil pressure warning and immediately lost power. I came back on safety mode. We are still investigating it, but it is probably the oil pump. The pace was really good and the car was perfect. So it's a big shame."

01:23 LMP2: Dominik Kraihamer (#15 OAK Racing Pescarolo 01 Judd) "My stints were okay, the radio wasn't working. We've had a little problem with the engine. At the moment we're trying to double stint the tyres, but the lap times are getting longer with the cold. We're just trying to concentrate and not make mistakes and see what happens."

01:25 LMP2: A pit visit for Alex Sims in the #30 Status GP Lola allows Jody Firth back through to 7th in class - 14th overall.

01:36 LMP1: The #7 Toyota is back in its box - front bodywork taken off and examined. Checks performed on the car itself. One big test session for the Japanese manufacturer today.

01:39 LMP2: Major works continue on the erstwhile class leader, the #24 Oak Racing Morgan, with the rear of the car largely in pieces as the team strive to repair a major oil leak and a broken oil pump - removing the engine appears to be their chosen solution. The car has slipped to 39th overall.

More pitlane action elsewhere within P2, as we welcome Simon Dolan and the #38 Jota Zytek back for more fuel. The #25 ADR-Delta Oreca has also been through, and so too the #40 Race Performance Oreca, although that hasn't been a routine stop, and the car has remained stationery for several laps.

01:39 LMP1: Toyota mechanics shaking hands, putting their arms around each others shoulders - the #7 Toyota is about to retire. Nobody's working on the car anymore - other than bodywork being put back on.

01:42 GTE Pro Although we can't see it, the fight for second in the Pro class between Farnbacher and Taylor is intense, with just half a second separating the Corvette from the Ferrari ahead as they speed through the darkness.

01:44 LMP2: With news in P1 that the surviving Toyota has retired, it's worth noting that there have still only been two official "abandons" in LMP2; the two Gulf Racing Middle East Lolas. The #29 went very early, after just 17 laps, while the #28 lasted a while longer, covering 92 laps in total.

01:45 GTE Am Brian Vickers is lapping the #61 Ferrari quicker in the dark than he did in the light yesterday evening. The Waltrip car is fourth with a lap either side to the nearest class cars.

It must be assumed that Oak has given up their valiant attempt to repair the #24, as the mechanics start to strip off their gloves and step away from the car.
